coloured tape
#1
had the ref today point out that the tape on players socks needs to be the same colour, who the fuck has brought this out?he did say if a ref was being assesed he would have to instruct the players to either remove it or change it.when we are trying to encourage people to get involved with sporting activities sum fckin governing body decides on this!cant sort out goal line technology but this to them seems that important,is it dangerous?no.in theory if you wear socks that are not run of the mill colours you may be struggling to find a match.Huh

UEFA ruling following a proposal by the FA.

The problem is to do with officias finding it difficult to diferentiate if tape is a similar colour to opposition socks but there are several games in Sunday League where each team has the same coloured socks in the first place.

It is going to be a very officious twat who enforces this in Sunday League

you not see the Man City game on Sunday? Ref ordered Silva off to get the right coloured tape. Its ridiculous and I heard about it last season that it was gonna be brought in but then heard wouldnt be introduced at our level. Does it have to be an exact match? can you have a light blue on dark blue? what if you wear striped socks? do you have to have 2 lots of tape for the team incase different players wear tape at different points of the sock? And teams who maybe have purple or orange or pink kits..where thy gonna get tape that colour from? Maybe they should be less concerned about the tape colour thats used to keep shinpads in place and focus more on the tackles that the shinpads are there for in the first place

never seen orange, sky blue, navy blue, purple or pink tape, not saying it isnt available cos dont know,if your man city or any other proffesional club you can prob afford to have it made if required, this is local sunday league football & times are hard enuff as it is,have the fa asked the views of kit manufactorers who supply thousands of kits to local teams?woudnt think they wud be too happy if the sales of any socks but basic colours tuk a massive slump!i know most refs will think the ruling for local football is as crap as we do but we are governed by the same rules as the pro's.all this does is put people off from participating because they cant be bothered with a bunch of fckin relics running the governing body who talk grass roots but dont give a shit!
