What do you think of this engagement ring?

I like very different ornate jewlery. Is it too weird not to have the traditional engagement ring and instead go with something like this. Would it be tacky to do something so different? I feel like a simple solitare really doesn't incorporate either of our sense of style but I also don't want people.
