Otherwise, you're probably looking at something in the range of $400 - $1600. Call around and get some quotes. I think you'll get lower quotes if you can tell them the tank is empty. Being able to get it out in one piece helps but if you can get it out yourself that would be best. Most salvage yards won't take fuel oil tanks unless they're cut in half (so they can verify the tank is clean and empty).
