Gareth Drakes Coaching offers football coaching sessions to both teams and individuals. As a level 2 FA qualified coach and over 8 years coaching experience, you or your team will benefit from my expert tuition.
Coaching sessions are for boys and girls of all ages (juniors and adults) and can be tailored to suit ability levels. I can come to your clubs training sessions and teach topics straight from the FA Level 2 syllabus. They range from basic goalkeeping techniques to defending and attacking topics. Defending topics include:
Defending when Organised
Restricting Space
Predicting Space
Defending when Dis-organised
Recovery Runs
Defensive Heading
Attacking topics include:
Creating Space
Exploiting Space
Long Passing
Short Passing
Switching Play
Support Play
Receiving Priorities
Ball Control
Running with the Ball
Runs Without the Ball
Dribbling
Turning
Attacking Heading
Finishing
Team sessions will incorporate either defensive or attacking principles of play depending on the session being coached.
Throughout the summer holidays I will be coaching soccer schools for ages 5-16. These sessions are based on fun and enjoyment whilst aiming to enhance techniques and skills. I have been CRB checked with enhanced disclosure within the last year, I am fully First Aid qualified and have a certificate in Safeguarding Children.
