How do you analyze a chess game?
#1
I've recently learned to play chess last week, and now I'm really into it. I'm currently playing 10-20 games w/ the computer and 2 games with my classmates and friends everyday. I keep my games with my friends annotated, and I'm currently analyzing them. Now how do you analyze your chess games?

My current method is, for every move I would check for a possible checkmate. And also finding out any undefended pieces that I ignored. I'm also learning about analyzing games with the computer.

And any other tips for beginners? What are ideal openings? I use the English Opening, is it good? Chess is really addicting haha!
