Servers not associated with the retail servers. Free, but some wrongly profit via "donations" and imbalance the player base... personally I suggest sticking to non-donation servers, which is what the one I use is. They are less likely to be hacked because they are not retail, though larger privates probably stand a higher risk than smaller ones.
