The Home Improvement company (VP of credit union second job) has workmen's comp and insurance, no contractor's license and not sure if she needs to be bonded (in her opinion). Should her company have a contractor's license and be bonded to do the work. Only has vendor's license for 2 years. Where can I found out info. We live in Dayton, Ohio. Really need work done and don't want to get burned. She does use contracted workers to do the job. Thanks

Most homeowners never think about masonry chimney maintenance beyond the occasional flue cleaning. But ignoring your chimney can cost you big-time. A cracked chimney crown or spalling bricks can easily cost $1,000 to repair. And, if left untreated, the damage can accelerate quickly, and cost you upward of $3,000.
