I have a Canon Rebel XS and I'm trying to rake time lapse photography with a TI-84 calculator. I'm using a code programmed into the calculator and I'm connecting it to the the camera with a 2.5 mm Jack. I've done this before and it has worked but for some reason I can't get it to work anymore. The program is
TongueROMPT A
:WHILE 1
:FOR (H,1,A,1)
:END
:SEND(A)
:END
Also I'm programming the 'send' by going into 'catalog'
Every time I plug the Calculator into the camera, make it everything auto, focus, exposure, etc. and enter in a time value on the Calculator the camera just beeps and through re viewfinder the focus confirmation light and the aperture number blinks when I'm in TV mode. When I'm in AV mode the frame rate blinks and when I'm in M the exposure setting goes from -2 to +2 and back. Also usually when the calculator is connected I can't control the camera at all but now I have full capabilities of it. Is the program wrong? The way I set up my camera? Any answers are appreciated.
