The first person who answered you was right about the second game. It is Jungle Hunt. Or you might have played it as Jungle King. It was originally Jungle King, and your character was a Tarzan-like dude, but they changed your character to an explorer and renamed it Jungle Hunt after the Edgar Rice Burroughs estate threatened to sue them for copyright infringement.
